Dr. Gregg Malone’s clinical practice has focused on helping clients manage anger, overcome traumatic experiences, improve communication and insight, and increase self-awareness. Gregg has a passion for working with clients who experience stressful and chaotic challenges including, but not limited to, sexual compulsivity, infidelity, parenthood, anger management, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and addiction recovery. Gregg also works with couples seeking to enhance their relationship in areas such as emotional connection, communication, trust, conflict, and sexual intimacy. Dr. Malone is currently completing his certification in Sex Therapy through AASECT.

Gregg’s collaborative approach supports the client in achieving their goals for growth and change. With couples and families, his nonjudgmental approach confronts irrational thought patterns while respecting the unique complexity and potential of each person. Gregg creates an environment of compassion, empathy, and understanding that helps each individual build on their strengths as they move toward positive change.

Gregg grew up in the North Texas area. He majored in Psychology and Criminal Justice at Stephen F. Austin State University. After 12 years of military service, he has spent the past 20 years working in the Denton-Dallas-Ft Worth area supporting US Veterans and their families during times of stress and chaos. He holds an M.L.A. in Dispute Resolution (SMU-Dallas), and an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (UNT-Denton). He refined his knowledge within the context of marriage and family counseling in the Doctor of Liberal Studies program (SMU-Dallas). His published doctoral dissertation examines the application of adventure therapy for couples.

Gregg spends his spare time with his family and traveling. As a SCUBA Dive Master, he frequently arranges retreats for couples as a complementary therapy option that combines aquatic environments and risk-taking exercises to improve aspects of cooperation, trust, cohesion, affection, communication, and romance.
